New participants FAQ
“How do I know if I'll qualify?”
Are you a good business? Do you follow the “golden rule?” Are you known for your commitment to customer service? Yeah? Okay then, you’re the kind of business we want to list, and we'd be happy to have you!
“Are you known for your commitment to customer service? you're the kind of business we want...”
“What should I offer?”
Simply stated, the better the offer, the more chance our readers will select you over the competition appearing within the same pages! If you have been pre-selected as a top-class Maui business (you received a letter and already appear on the login page) then we have already set you up for your approval. As part of this process, we identified what we feel is your best offer already out there. If you agree with us, then simply leave the offer as it stands. You can also change the offer any way you see fit!
“...the better the offer, the more chance our readers will select you...”
“What's a REAL and SUBSTANTIAL discount?”
We really want you to succeed. We already have businesses listed that are offering significant discounts. Open-ended offers as generous as 10%-25%, [even some as high as 50% off], are common on our site. We know that your particular line of business may or may not allow you to be so generous, or requires specific conditions before you can offer the big-guns. That’s why we leave the offer up to you, and provide plenty of room in your listing for your offer and conditions. The bottom line: The better your offer is, the more likely you are to have visitors from our site choose you over your competition. Also know that really happy visitors are likely to come back again and again…on this trip, and next trip, and they’ll post in our forums and tell friends to visit, too!A few examples of good (and bad) offers:
